Another, saliva gets the food particles in your mouth down. After meal time is a good timing for letting your children eat sweets, since this is also the time they should be brushing their teeth. Then, once your child chew some sugar free gum after the meal, he or she will add to the saliva production and thus lower the bacterial risk. Experts also claim that cheese in particular will restore the pH balance after the meal, and you would be able to help your kid have healthy teeth despite eating sweets. Moreover, if your child wants to drink softdrinks, you can reduce the contact of their teeth to the sugar content of the drinks. Some drinks are not recommended by any means for somebody who is keen on having wonderful healthy teeth.
Even if they are 100% natural, too acidic fruit juices can evenly destroy the pH balance in the mouth, attacking otherwise healthy teeth. Orange juice for instance changes the acid level in the mouth and leaves the teeth exposed to decay. The only real things that can save you under the circumstances of an inappropriate diet are closely related to the oral health routine you establish for your child. You can even talk to your kid’s dentist to request advice and have him or her recommend a particular toothpaste that best suits your child’s dental condition.
