Then, if your child chew some sugar free gum after the meal, he or she will add to the saliva production and thus lower the bacterial risk. Experts also claim that cheese in particular will restore the pH balance after the meal, and you would be able to help your kid have healthy teeth despite eating sweets. Furthermore, if your child wants to drink softdrinks, you can diminish the contact of their teeth to the sugar content of the drinks. Some drinks are usually not recommended in anyway for somebody who is keen on having perfect strong teeth.

Even when they are 100% natural, too acidic fruit juices can equally destroy the pH balance in the mouth, attacking otherwise healthy teeth. Orange juice for instance changes the acid level in the mouth and leaves the teeth subjected to decay. You can even talk to your child’s dentist to request counsel and have her or him recommend a particular toothpaste that best suits your child’s dental condition.
